Julius Caesar

Caesar sought the office of consul in 60 BC. He had recently returned from Spain where he served a year as governor. The two consuls at the time were Crassus and Pompey, the leaders of the war against the slave revolt. Rather than become involved in a struggle, Caesar convinced Crassus, Pompey, and the Roman Senate to name him a third consul. This coalition of three equal rulers later became known as the First Triumvirate. When Caesar's year-long term as consul ended, he used his influence to get himself appointed governor of Gaul. Gaul was a territory northwest of thge Italian peninsula.

My favorite Greek Thinker

My favorite Greek thinker:
I think Aeschylus is my favorite Greek thinker and writer. Why I think that is because he was an Athenian playwright. He was the FIRST great tragedian. He is believed to have written 70-90 plays, including persian, seven against Thebes and suppliants. He is believed to have died in Sicily, when an eagle dropped a tortoise on his head!!!!! OUCH!!!!!

Hector

I think Hector did a wrong thing because he left his wife and his baby. Hector died because Achilles stuck an arrow and sword in him. Hector agreed to fight Achilles because he didn't want to deal with Achilles anymore I think. I wouldn't of done the same thing because I don't want to die.

The Myth of Osiris

At first, there was only Nun. Nun was the dark waters of chaos. One day, a hill rose up and out of the dark waters. This hill was called Ben-Ben. On the hill stood the first god, Atum. Atum coughed and spat out Shu, the god of the air, and Tefnut, the goddess of moisture. Shu and Tefnut had two children. First, there was Geb the god of the Earth. Then, there was Nut, the goddess of the sky. Shu lifted Nut up so that she became a canopy over Geb. Geb and Nut had four children Osiris, Isis, Seth and Nephthys. Osiris was the king of the Earth and Isis was a good king, and he ruled over the Earth for many years. However, everything was not well. Seth was jealous of Osiris because he wanted to be the ruler of the Earth. He grew angrier and angrier, so one day he killed Osiris. Osiris went into the underworld and Seth remained on Earth and became king. Osiris and Isis had one son called Horus. Horus battled against Seth and regained the throne. After that, Horus was the king of the Earth and Osiris was the king of the underworld. THE END!!!!!!

Mesopotamia Dangers

It is horrible in Mesopotamia. Theres floods every where. My family
is working so hard to build levees. But floods keep on coming, and
coming, and coming. And we try our best to live in Mesopotamia.Thats
why we have so many dangers here and get so tired of building and
working. We get so frustrated and hungry.Even though we are tired
we never give up hope in ourselves.
